One of the most beautiful plants that you can get at home in December is the Christmasstar. In neat Latin Euphorbia pulcherrima but also called Poinsettia.

A houseplant that derives its popularity from the striking and beautifully colored bracts. The colored bracts are in a rosette around small greenish-white flowers. In this way the colored bracts form a star. Christmasstars on a trunk are real eye-catchers and break through the winter baldness. Classic, modern, retro, glamor or trendy; the Christmasstar adapts effortlessly and fits perfectly with any atmosphere. With proper care of the Christmasstar, the Christmasstar retains its beautiful colored bract for months.

What you need to know!

The Christmasstar is very temperature sensitive. Because the plant cannot tolerate cold, it is best to transport it well packaged and to unpack it at home. Do not place the plant too close to a doorway. The plant can die as a result of the draft. Also, do not place the Christmasstar too close to a radiator or heater. The plant does not tolerate the warm and dry air.

When purchasing at the store, check whether the tiny little flowers that are hidden between the red / pink or white bracts are still closed. If the flowers have already finished flowering, the life span of the plant will be shorter.

Milk juice: It is generally assumed that white milk juice is irritating in contact with mouth or eyes. In any case, keep the Christmasstar away from pets, as they can cause stomach and intestinal complaints.
